Payment Flow & Marketplace Funds Model
How project funding, platform fees and developer entitlement are recorded.
Business Model
DevNetLynx is an online marketplace connecting customers requiring software development, IT and related technical services with independent developers/service providers.
End-to-End Flow
- A customer creates a project.
- An eligible developer applies or is matched and selected.
- The project amount and milestones are confirmed before funded work begins.
- The customer initiates payment through DevNetLynx and completes payment using the approved payment provider.
- DevNetLynx waits for provider confirmation before marking the project or milestone funded.
- The assigned developer performs and submits the funded work.
- The work proceeds through review and approval.
- After the applicable work is approved, the developer becomes entitled to the developer portion, subject to the approved payout mechanism and any unresolved dispute, refund, chargeback, fraud or compliance issue.
- DevNetLynx records its 20% platform/service fee separately from the developer portion.
Platform Fee Example
Customer-funded amount: R1,000.00
DevNetLynx platform fee (20%): R200.00
Developer portion before applicable provider/payout adjustments: R800.00
Developer Payments
Developer payout/release occurs only through a payment or payout arrangement approved for the DevNetLynx marketplace model. DevNetLynx does not represent itself as a bank or escrow provider.
Refunds and Disputes
Refunds, cancellations, chargebacks and disputes are handled under the Refund, Cancellation & Dispute Policy and through the approved payment-provider process.
