Customer Terms & Conditions
Terms for customers using the DevNetLynx technical-services marketplace.
1. Scope
These Customer Terms apply to customers using DevNetLynx to request software development, IT and related technical services from independent developers/service providers available through the marketplace.
2. Marketplace Role
DevNetLynx provides the online marketplace, project workflow, communications, payment integration and administrative tools. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the developer is an independent service provider and is not an employee of DevNetLynx.
3. Customer Accounts
- Customers must provide accurate registration and project information and keep account access secure.
- Customers must not use the platform for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or prohibited activity.
- DevNetLynx may suspend access where reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, payment risk, legal compliance or material breach of these terms.
4. Projects, Scope and Milestones
The customer is responsible for describing the requested work sufficiently for developers to understand the project. The agreed project amount, milestones, deliverables and material requirements should be recorded through the platform before work begins. Changes to scope may require revised milestones, pricing or timelines.
5. Payments and Platform Fee
Customer payments are processed through an approved third-party payment provider. The currently intended DevNetLynx platform/service fee is 20% of the applicable project or milestone amount. The customer will be shown the applicable payment information before completing a transaction. Payment-provider fees, taxes or other charges may apply where disclosed or legally required.
A project or milestone is treated as funded only after the payment provider confirms the transaction. A customer returning to DevNetLynx after checkout does not by itself prove successful payment.
6. Review and Acceptance
Customers must review submitted work within a reasonable period. Where the workflow permits, a customer may approve the work or request reasonable changes connected to the agreed scope. Approval may trigger the developer's entitlement to the applicable developer portion.
7. Cancellations, Refunds and Disputes
Cancellations, refunds and disputes are governed by the Refund, Cancellation & Dispute Policy. Eligibility depends on factors including payment status, whether work has begun, milestone progress, delivered work, acceptance, and applicable law/payment-provider rules.
8. Intellectual Property
Ownership or licence rights in project deliverables should be agreed between the customer and developer. Unless otherwise agreed, transfer of final deliverable rights is conditional on payment for the applicable approved work. Pre-existing tools, libraries, frameworks, know-how and third-party materials remain subject to their existing ownership and licence terms.
9. Prohibited Conduct
- Fraud, payment abuse, chargeback abuse, unlawful content or instructions, malware or unauthorised access activity are prohibited.
- Users may not deliberately circumvent platform payment or safety controls for a project introduced and managed through DevNetLynx where doing so breaches the applicable project terms.
- Users must respect confidentiality, intellectual-property rights and applicable law.
10. Availability and Liability
DevNetLynx will take reasonable steps to operate the platform securely and reliably but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or the performance of an independent developer. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Any limitation is subject to applicable consumer and other mandatory law.
11. Changes and Termination
DevNetLynx may update these terms for future use of the service and may terminate or suspend accounts for material breach, security risk, fraud, non-payment or legal/compliance reasons. Existing paid projects remain subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.
12. Contact and Acceptance
By registering for and using DevNetLynx as a customer, the customer agrees to these terms and the associated privacy, refund, cancellation and dispute policies presented by the platform.
